A Phoenix Fiction Writer Rising From The Ashes of Nonfiction

Poetry

Poem Introduction

A long time ago
in college, I decided
for fun to write
Six Sexual Sonnets.

This was the third.
I titled them after
women I knew at the
time but the text is
a mixture of truth
and wishful thinking.

Ruth

Ruth lay upon me dreaming quietly,
Moving her hips in rhythm with my sighs,
She lay just savoring the feel of me
Embedded in the cleft between her thighs.

For hours we lay clasped that way and I
Somehow stayed hard within her, kissing her
And breathing the moist hot breath of her sigh
Beneath her canopy of hair, under

Her long dancer's body's warm clasp
Enveloping me, squeezing my mind, so
With each slow stroking of her pubic grasp
Fires of lust built into an internal inferno

Melting my restraint, while every tense muscle went lame
And unleashed I simply poured into her when I came.
